This Privacy Policy explains how Anshap Services Private Limited ("ANSHAP", "we", "us", "our"), with its registered address at Fresh Living, Madhapur, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use the ANSHAP platform — our website at anshap.com, our mobile applications, our AI companion NOA, and related services (together, the "Platform").

We take your privacy seriously, particularly because you may share information about your emotional and mental health with us. This Policy describes our practices in clear language. If anything is unclear, please write to privacy@anshap.com.

01Who is Responsible

ANSHAP is responsible for your personal information under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian laws. Where you access the Platform through an employer, educational institution, NGO or other Sponsor, your Sponsor is not responsible for your personal information and does not receive your individual data.

02Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to operate the Platform and serve you well.

  • Account information: your name, email, mobile number, age confirmation, and password.
  • Health and wellbeing information: your responses to wellbeing assessments, mood logs, journal entries, NOA conversations, Session content, and Stories you publish. This is sensitive information and we treat it with extra care.
  • Payment information: transaction references and masked card or UPI details. Full payment-instrument details are handled by RBI-authorised payment providers, not by us.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, device type, app version, crash logs, and how you interact with the Platform.
  • Sponsor eligibility information: where applicable, a domain or identifier provided by your Sponsor solely to confirm you fall within the cohort funded by that Sponsor.

03How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • operate your account and deliver the Platform's features (NOA, Sessions, Stories, assessments, mood tools);
  • identify safety risks and route you to appropriate support, including helplines, where needed;
  • process payments, refunds, invoicing and applicable taxes;
  • communicate with you about your bookings, account and service updates;
  • with your separate consent, send you product news or wellbeing content;
  • provide your Sponsor with anonymous, aggregated insights that cannot identify you;
  • moderate content and enforce our Community Guidelines and Terms;
  • comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations;
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
  • improve the Platform — including, with your separate opt-in consent (default off), using de-identified NOA conversations to improve NOA's responses. Recordings of one-to-one psychologist Sessions are never used to improve NOA.

04Our Lawful Basis

We rely primarily on your consent under section 6 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We obtain your consent through clear, granular options that are not pre-ticked. You can withdraw your consent at any time through your account settings or by writing to privacy@anshap.com; withdrawal applies prospectively. We may also rely on legitimate uses recognised by law, including in a medical emergency.

05Sharing of Information

We share your information only as necessary, and only with:

  • the psychologist delivering your Sessions, and (where clinically relevant) the supervising psychologist;
  • our payment providers, hosting provider (within India) and other essential service providers, each bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
  • our auditors, lawyers and other professional advisers, under confidentiality;
  • law enforcement, regulators or courts on lawful demand;
  • an acquirer of the ANSHAP business in a merger or sale, on terms at least as protective as this Policy.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not share your identity, NOA conversations, Session content, Stories or assessment scores with your Sponsor — Sponsors only ever receive anonymous, aggregated insights based on cohorts of at least five users.

06Your Rights

You have the right to access and correct your personal information, to request its erasure, to withdraw your consent, to raise a grievance, and to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. To exercise any right, write to privacy@anshap.com or use the Privacy Centre in the app. We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and respond within the period prescribed under applicable law, and in any event within ninety (90) days where required.

07How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your information for as long as you have an active account, and for a reasonable period thereafter, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, payment and tax records that we are required to retain). Session recordings, where you have opted in, are automatically deleted after 90 days. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

08Security

We protect your information with reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls and access logging. No system is completely secure; please keep your account credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised access.

09Children

The Platform is intended only for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, please write to privacy@anshap.com and we will take appropriate steps.

10Where We Store Your Information

Your information is stored on servers located in India. We do not transfer your personal information outside India except as permitted by applicable law.

11Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary to operate the Platform, together with optional cookies for preferences and basic analytics. You can manage your cookie choices through your browser or our in-app settings. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

12Sponsors (Employer, College or NGO Access)

If your access to the Platform is sponsored, you should know what your Sponsor can and cannot see. Your Sponsor receives only aggregated insights — for example, overall usage trends across at least five users. Your Sponsor cannot see your identity, your NOA conversations, your Sessions, your Stories or any individual data about you. Your Sponsor is contractually prohibited from using the Platform to make employment, academic or disciplinary decisions about you, or from coercing you to use the Platform. If you believe a Sponsor has acted contrary to this, please write to grievance@anshap.com.

13Grievance Officer

Privacy queries and grievances: privacy@anshap.com. General grievances: grievance@anshap.com. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and respond within 15 days. If you remain unsatisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

14Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
